The New London Whalers football squad scored 60 points and limited the visiting Griswold/Wheeler Wolverines to 6 in the Whalers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Whalers now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ledyard for a non-league test on Friday, November 1. New London will meet a Colonels squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Colonels record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Griswold/Wheeler drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Stonington (Stonington, CT) to meet the Bears in a Eastern Connecticut III test on Friday, November 8. The Bears come into the test with a record of 4-2. Stonington won 59-6 in their recent league test against Plainfield (Central Village, CT)
