Maryland High School Football - Laurel smashes Northwestern

October 25, 2024: Laurel, MD 20707

The Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) football trounced the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD), 48-16 in Friday's league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bladensburg for a Prince George's County 4A/3A outing on Friday, November 1. Laurel will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-6 league loss to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-8.

With the defeat, Northwestern drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD) to clash with the Pumas in a Prince George's County 4A/3A outing on Friday, November 1. The Pumas come into the outing with a record of 7-1. Wise won 57-0 in their recent league outing against Bowie (Bowie, MD)
