Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host MacArthur Highlanders (Lawton, OK), 35-31 in a league battle.

With the win, Newcastle improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Racers host Bishop McGuinness (Oklahoma City, OK) to play the Fighting Irish in a 5A District 1 battle on Friday, November 1. The Fighting Irish go into the battle with a record of 6-2. Bishop McGuinness won 70-7 in their recent league battle against Southeast (Oklahoma City, OK)

The Highlanders now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast for a 5A District 1 battle on Friday, November 1. MacArthur will play a Spartans team coming off a 70-7 league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Oklahoma City, OK). The Spartans record now stands at 4-3.
