The Stanton Buffaloes felled the visiting Merkel Badgers football team by a score of 39-31 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Buffaloes face the Coahoma Bulldogs (Coahoma, TX) in a 3A-2 Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, November 1. Stanton will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 48-6 league loss to Wall (Wall, TX).

The Badgers (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A-2 Region I District 4 challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Grape Creek lost by Wall (Wall, TX), 58-6, in a league challenge.
