The Mexia Black Cats football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Whitney Wildcats to 42 in the Black Cats league triumph on Friday.

The Black Cats now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Maypearl for a 3A-1 Region II District 5 test on Friday, November 1. Mexia will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 20-17 league loss to Grandview (Grandview, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Whitney drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX) to meet the Goats in a 3A-1 Region II District 5 test on Friday, November 1. The Goats come into the test with a record of 4-4. Groesbeck lost 31-28 in their recent league test against West (West, TX)
