Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), 42-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Scott Central improves its record to 5-4 on the season. The Rebels host Lake (Lake, MS) to play the Hornets in a 2A Region 5 battle on Thursday, October 31. The Hornets go into the battle with a record of 4-6. Lake lost 36-7 in their recent league battle against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS)

The Tigers now have a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Clarkdale for a 2A Region 5 battle on Thursday, October 31. Newton will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-7 non-league loss to Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.
