The Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) football trounced the visiting North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR), 55-12 in Friday's league outing.

The Colts now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Willamette for a 5A Special District 4 outing on Friday, November 1. Thurston will clash with a Wolverines squad coming off a 36-14 league win over Crater (Central Point, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, North Eugene drops to 4-5 on the campaign.
