The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) and the visiting Pine Raiders (Franklinton, LA), witnessed Sumner's football squad edge Pine by a tally of 13-6.
The Cowboys (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Albany (Albany, LA). The Hornets enter the 3A District 8 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Albany was nudged by Amite (Amite, LA), 47-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Raiders battle the Bogalusa Lumberjacks (Bogalusa, LA) in a 3A District 8 contest, on Thursday, October 31. Pine will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Lumberjacks enter the contest with a 1-6 record after their 50-0 league win over Springfield (Springfield, LA).
