Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Rosepine Eagles (Rosepine, LA), 36-8 in a league battle.
With the win, Vinton improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Lions host East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA) to play the Trojans in a 2A District 4 battle on Thursday, October 31. The Trojans go into the battle with a record of 1-6. East Beauregard lost 44-0 in their recent league battle against DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA)
The Eagles now have a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to DeQuincy for a 2A District 4 battle on Friday, November 1. Rosepine will play a Tigers team coming off a 44-0 league win over East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-1.
