The Williston-Elko Blue Devils football squad scored 25 points and limited the visiting Wagener-Salley War Eagles to 24 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Blackville-Hilda for a A Region 3 test on Friday, November 1. Williston-Elko will meet a Fighting Hawks squad coming off a 59-12 league loss to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC). The Fighting Hawks record now stands at 6-2.
With the defeat, Wagener-Salley drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The War eagles host Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC) to meet the Saints in a A Region 3 test on Friday, November 1. The Saints come into the test with a record of 2-7. Calhoun County won 14-6 in their recent league test against Ridge Spring-Monetta (Monetta, SC)
