The Lyons Lions football team (Lyons, CO), was topped 36-14 in Saturday's league battle with the host Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO)

With the win, Gilpin County advances its record to 6-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Justice (Lafayette, CO) to encounter the Phoenix in a A-8 Central (8 Man) battle on Saturday, November 1. The Phoenix enter the match with a record of 2-6. Justice lost 64-20 in their recent league match against Clear Creek (Evergreen, CO)

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Belleview Christian Bruins (Westminster, CO) in a A-8 Central (8 Man) match, on Thursday, October 30. Lyons will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Bruins enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 62-8 league loss to Front Range Christian (Littleton, CO).
