The Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) football edged the host Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), 21-20 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Colonels face the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 2. Fleming will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the bout with a 5-4 record after their 28-0 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
The Eagles (4-5) will now prepare for their bout against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Lord Botetourt nudged Northside (Roanoke, VA), 49-0, in a non-league bout.
