In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wenatchee Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mead Panthers.

The Panthers (21-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastmont (East Wenatchee, WA). The Wildcats come into the 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Eastmont lost by West Valley (Yakima, WA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Shadle Park Highlanders (Spokane, WA) in a 3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge, on Tuesday, October 29. Mead will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 3-1 league win over Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA).
