In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Irene/Wakonda Eagles football squad scored a close 36-30 victory over the Sully Buttes Chargers.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 4. Irene/Wakonda will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Wolverines enter the match with a 10-0 record after their 44-14 non-league win over Avon (Avon, SD).
