In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Winston-Salem Christian Lions soccer squad scored a close 6-1 win over the Goretti Gael.
The Lions now sport a 22-0 record.
With the loss, Goretti drops to 16-3 on the season. The Gael travel to Pilgrim Academy (Egg Harbor City, NJ) to meet the Pioneers in a non-league test on Friday, October 28. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 11-6. Pilgrim Academy lost 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Life Center Academy (Burlington, NJ)
