In Friday's non-league game, the Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT) football team smashed the host Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT), by a score of 58-7.
The Chargers (7-0) will now prepare for their game against Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Hawks come into the Naugatuck Valley - Copper game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Woodland Regional overwhelmed Watertown (Watertown, CT), 36-27, in a league game.
