Louisiana High School Football - Byrd victorious over Southwood

The Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) football overcame the visiting Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA), 37-18 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA) in a 5A District 1 bout, on Friday, November 3. Byrd will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Chiefs enter the bout with a 2-7 record after their 36-35 league loss to Haughton (Haughton, LA).

The Cowboys (0-9) will now prepare for their bout against Airline (Bossier City, LA). The Vikings enter the 5A District 1 bout with a 8-1 record. In their last bout, Airline thwarted Parkway (Bossier City, LA), 33-16, in a league bout.
