The Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) football defeated the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM), 35-12 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 3. Hobbs will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 5-5 record after their 30-29 league win over Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM).
