North Carolina High School Football - Cleveland gets by Clayton

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC) and the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), observed Cleveland's football squad edge Clayton by a tally of 33-31.

In their next game, the Rams clash with the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 3. Cleveland will attempt to move on its 10-0 season record. The Bears enter the match with a 5-5 record after their 48-14 league loss to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC).

The Comets (8-2) will now prepare for their match against South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Tigers enter the non-league match with a 7-3 record. In their last match, South View was nudged by Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 21-20, in a league match.
