Virginia High School Football - Galax beat Fort Chiswell

The Galax Maroon Tide football squad scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers to 27 in the Maroon Tide league victory on Friday.

The Maroon Tide now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grayson County for a Mountain Empire battle on Friday, November 3. Galax will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 23-0 league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-1.

Coming up next, the Pioneers play the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire battle, on Friday, November 3. Fort Chiswell will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 47-13 non-league loss to Bluefield (Bluefield, WV).
