In Friday's league game, the Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO) football team got by the visiting Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), by a score of 23-17.

The Golden Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their game against George Washington (Denver, CO). The Patriots come into the 3A North Central game with a 4-5 record. In their last game, George Washington was tipped by Denver North (Denver, CO), 26-25, in a league game.

The Mavericks now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Riverdale Ridge for a 3A North Central game on Friday, November 3. Mead will battle a Ravens team coming off a 35-17 league win over Niwot (Niwot, CO). The Ravens record now stands at 8-1.
