The Waterford Lancers football team (Waterford, CT), was beaten 54-33 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Griswold/Wheeler Wolverines (Griswold, CT)
The Wolverines (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Stonington (Stonington, CT). The Bears come into the Eastern Connecticut II challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Stonington was beaten by Windham (Willimantic, CT), 20-13, in a non-league challenge.
The Lancers now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Griswold for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 27.
