The Hays Hawks football team (Buda, TX), was ripped 47-10 in Friday's league challenge with the host Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX)

The Rangers (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors come into the 5A-1 Region III District 12 challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Seguin was ripped by Wagner (San Antonio, TX), 41-7, in a league challenge.

The Hawks now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lehman for a 5A-1 Region III District 12 challenge on Friday, November 3. Hays will meet a Lobos team coming off a 35-23 league loss to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 2-7.
