The Highland Park Hornets football team (Amarillo, TX), was ripped 55-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX)

The Elks (9-0) will now prepare for their challenge against West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Comanches come into the 2A-1 Region I District 1 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, West Texas was ripped by Farwell (Farwell, TX), 56-0, in a league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sanford-Fritch for a 2A-1 Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, November 3. Highland Park will meet a Eagles team coming off a 74-0 league loss to Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
