Irion County Hornets (Mertzon, TX) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team rout the host Menard Yellowjackets (Menard, TX), 77-32 in a league test.

With the triumph, Irion County improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Veribest (Veribest, TX) to confront the Falcons in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region IV District 13 (6 Man) test on Friday, November 3. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 8-1. Veribest won 58-8 in their recent league test against Menard (Menard, TX)

With the loss, Menard drops to 5-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Eden (Eden, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region IV District 13 (6 Man) test on Friday, November 3.
