Mississippi High School Football - Wayne County victorious over Laurel

The Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) football knocked off the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), 45-28 in Friday's league game.

The War Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region 4 game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Vancleave toppled East Central (Moss Point, MS), 27-7, in a league game.

The Golden Tornadoes now hold a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Gautier for a 5A Region 4 game on Thursday, November 2. Laurel will battle a Gators team coming off a 49-25 league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS). The Gators record now stands at 6-3.
