In Friday's non-league game, the Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) football team tipped the host Williamsport Wildcats (Williamsport, MD), by a score of 16-14.
The Mavericks (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Westminster (Westminster, MD). The Owls come into the Carroll County game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Westminster got by Winters Mill (Westminster, MD), 34-10, in a league game.
The Wildcats now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Carroll for a non-league game on Saturday, November 4. Williamsport will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 24-16 league win over Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-6.
