In Friday's league game, the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) football team smashed the host Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR), by a score of 55-20.
The Bulldogs (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Salem (Salem, AR). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Region 2 game with a 9-0 record. In their last game, Salem overwhelmed Perryville (Perryville, AR), 16-6, in a league game.
The Bearkatz now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Atkins for a 3A Region 2 game on Friday, November 3. Melbourne will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 48-40 league win over Yellville-Summit (Yellville, AR). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-7.
