The South Plaquemines Hurricanes walloped the visiting Mentorship Academy Sharks football team by a final score of 44-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, South Plaquemines improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Hurricanes host Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA) to confront the in a 2A District 9 outing on Friday, November 3. The go into the outing with a record of 4-5. Jefferson RISE Charter won 28-16 in their recent league outing against Fisher (Lafitte, LA)

With the loss, Mentorship Academy moves to 0-9 on the season. The Sharks travel to Port Allen (Port Allen, LA) to confront the Pelicans in a 3A District 6 outing on Friday, November 3. The Pelicans go into the outing with a record of 4-4. Port Allen lost 49-12 in their recent league outing against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA)
