In Friday's league match, the visiting Mineola Yellowjackets football squad scored a close 35-30 victory over the Rains Wildcats.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) in a 3A-1 Region II District 5 match, on Friday, November 3. Mineola will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 6-3 record after their 34-6 league loss to Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX).

The Wildcats (0-9) will now prepare for their match against Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Warriors enter the 3A-1 Region II District 5 match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Bonham was nudged by Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX), 65-6, in a league match.
