The Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ) football edged the visiting West Orange Mountaineers (West Orange, NJ), 25-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 3. Plainfield will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Soaring Eagles enter the bout with a 8-1 record after their 41-7 non-league win over Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ).
