Texas High School Football - Wakeland overwhelms Sherman

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) and the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), observed Wakeland's football squad bounce Sherman by a count of 56-24.

The Wolverines now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Frisco for a 5A-1 Region II District 6 contest on Friday, November 3. Wakeland will encounter a Raccoons squad coming off a 41-10 league loss to Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Raccoons record now stands at 6-3.

Coming up next, the Bearcats encounter the Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) in a 5A-1 Region II District 6 contest, on Friday, November 3. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Redhawks go into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 39-18 league loss to Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX).
