The Welsh Greyhounds football squad scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Vinton Lions to 6 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Friday.
The Greyhounds (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Notre Dame (Crowley, LA). The Pioneers come into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Notre Dame trounced Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA), 46-7, in a league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Arthur for a 2A District 5 challenge on Friday, November 3. Vinton will meet a Tigers team coming off a 36-35 league win over DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.
