In Monday's non-league match, the host Chesapeake Cougars football squad scored a good 14-6 victory over the South River Seahawks.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Southern (Harwood, MD). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Southern was beaten by Northeast (Pasadena, MD), 43-6, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Seahawks play the Northeast Eagles (Pasadena, MD) in a non-league battle, on Monday, November 3. South River will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 6-2 record after their 43-6 non-league win over Southern (Harwood, MD).
