In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Athens Golden Eagles football squad scored a close 32-31 victory over the Russellville Golden Tigers.

The Golden Tigers (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Pirates enter the non-league match with a 4-6 record. In their last match, Boaz held off Lee (Huntsville, AL), 21-20, in a non-league match.
