Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they saw their football team smash the visiting Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV), 54-7 in a league challenge.
The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Patriots come into the Eastern Panhandle challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Washington trounced Hampshire (Romney, WV), 35-3, in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Hampshire for a non-league challenge on Friday, November 4. Hedgesville will meet a Trojans team coming off a 35-3 non-league loss to Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.
