In Saturday's league game, the Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT) football team knocked off the visiting Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT), by a score of 20-7.

The Yellowjackets (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Wolcott (Wolcott, CT). The Eagles come into the Naugatuck Valley - Copper game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, Wolcott was dropped by Kennedy (Waterbury, CT), 28-6, in a non-league game.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Paul Catholic for a non-league game on Friday, November 3. Seymour will battle a Falcons team coming off a 38-22 league loss to Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 1-6.
