Cossatot River Eagles (Cove, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mulberry Yellowjackets (Mulberry, AR), 49-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cossatot River upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Acorn (Mena, AR) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 31. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Acorn lost 72-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bergman (Bergman, AR)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Scranton Rockets (Scranton, AR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, October 30. Mulberry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 42-20 non-league win over Union Christian Academy (Fort Smith, AR).
