With the win, Mount Vernon improves its record to 6-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to face the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test on Wednesday, October 30. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 25-2. Burlington-Edison won 3-0 in their recent league test against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA)

The Borderites now own a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Harbor for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test on Wednesday, October 30. Blaine will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-13.
