Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 29-7 in a non-league match.

The Fighting Owls (5-3) will now prepare for their match against McLean (McLean, VA). The Highlanders enter the non-league match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, McLean was beaten by Langley (McLean, VA), 14-0, in a non-league match.
