In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Kearsley Hornets volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers.

The Hornets (5-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Caro (Caro, MI). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-18 record. In their last challenge, Caro was nudged by Durand (Durand, MI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers meet the Central Wolves (Bay City, MI) in a Saginaw Valley challenge, on Monday, November 3. Carman-Ainsworth will attempt to advance on its 3-24 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 5-20 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Freeland (Freeland, MI).
