Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 6. Scituate will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI).

The Islanders now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Prout for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 11.
