The Cornjerkers now sport a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin for a Vermilion Valley test on Tuesday, October 4. Hoopeston will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Covington (Covington, IN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Clifton Central drops to 2-17 on the season. The Comets travel to Beecher (Beecher, IL) to meet the Bobcats in a River Valley test on Tuesday, October 4. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 18-4. Beecher won 6-3 in their recent league test against St. Anne (St. Anne, IL)
