The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO), saw Doherty's soccer squad get by Coronado by a margin of 1-0.
The Spartans now sport a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rampart for a 5A CSML test on Friday, October 7. Doherty will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO). The Rams record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Coronado drops to 1-8 on the season. The Cougars host Canon City (Canon City, CO) to encounter the Tigers in a 4A/3A CSML South test on Thursday, October 6. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-7. Canon City won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Pueblo South (Pueblo, CO)
