Next, the Knights confront the Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL) in a Gateway Metro challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Waterloo (Waterloo, IL).

The Pirates now have a 3-9 record.
