Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Lions battle the Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA) in a Dual County match, on Thursday, October 6. Newton South will attempt to advance on its 8-1 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 1-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, MA).

With the loss, Westford Academy moves to 3-7 on the year. The Grey ghosts host Groton-Dunstable (Groton, MA) to face the Crusaders in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 4. The Crusaders go into the outing with a record of 9-3. Groton-Dunstable won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Fitchburg (Fitchburg, MA)
