Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Cleveland Heights Tigers (Cleveland Heights, OH), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals face the Cathedral Prep Ramblers (Erie, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 7. Mentor will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Ramblers enter the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 5-1 league win over Erie (Erie, PA).

The Tigers now have a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shaker Heights for a Greater Cleveland challenge on Tuesday, October 10.
