York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL), 4-3 in a league challenge.
Next, the Dukes confront the Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver challenge, on Thursday, October 5. York will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 2-1 league win over Lyons (LaGrange, IL).
The Red Devils now possess a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard West for a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Thursday, October 5. Hinsdale Central will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 10-6.
