The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) and the host Butler Bears (Louisville, KY), saw Spencer County's volleyball squad nip Butler by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Spencer County upgrades its record to 5-18 on the year. The Bears travel to Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY) to play the Rockets in a District 30 bout on Wednesday, October 4. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 7-11. Shelby County won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Trimble County (Bedford, KY)

The Bears now own a 11-18 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 4. Butler will play a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 11-14.
