West Virginia High School Volleyball - Greenbrier East over Hoover

October 3, 2023: Lewisburg, WV 24901

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) and the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), saw Greenbrier East's volleyball squad beat Hoover by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Greenbrier East upgrades its record to 24-7 on the year. The Spartans travel to Hampshire (Romney, WV) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Hampshire lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV)

The Huskies now own a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Nicholas County for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 5. Hoover will play a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-23.
